New backup service
|
Our backup has recently been upgraded and moved to Manchester. Backups are now transferred daily from the London datacentre to the server in Manchester (www.internetf.co.uk). A file version history is kept to allow restores from a particular date. For a small monthly charge of £10, clients now have the ability to manage their own backups and restores. By logging in through a web interface www.gtwm.co.uk/backup, you can browse through your folders, view a history of changes and download files. This could be particularly useful for documents stored online but can also be an additional peace of mind for database and email users. Please contact oliver@gtwm.co.uk if you are interested in this service. |
GT portalBase updates
Since the last email in March, development hasn't stopped on portalBase (www.gtportalbase.co.uk) even though we've been a bit quiet about it. There have been over 30 updates including usability features and system integration mechanisms.
We're currently looking at options to subcontract some user interface work so if anyone in the IT sphere has contacts with skilled web UI developers, we'd like to hear from you. Experience with www.extjs.com would be a particular bonus. A major aim is cross-browser compatibility including Internet Explorer - portalBase is already compatible with Firefox, Safari, the new Google Chrome browser and mobiles including the Apple iPhone.
Best regards
